And you too!

Sticking to this week's theme of the surreal and subjective, here's a poem that I wrote, late last night:
Too Many Breaths
Listening to podcasts and reading blogs I've come across a new dialectal quirk of US English. I don't like it. It's ugly.
Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity.

In this fiery and funny talk, New York Times food writer Mark Bittman weighs in on what's wrong with the way we eat now (too much meat, too few plants; too much fast food, too little home cooking), and why it's putting the entire planet at risk.
Obama remarkable good President!
After eight years of détente thanks to the willful choices of American people in 2008 and 2012, and thanks to President Barack Obama, the champion of good, first lady Mrs Michelle Obama, the caring lady par excellence, and vice President Biden, the wise and trustworhy, what can we expect of Donald Trump, who claims to be smart? What choices will America make? Laren NH, Friday 13 January 2017, 2.06 PM DT
Do you know why I can't let the above comment lie?
Because I really, truly, think with all my heart, that humans aren't actually as dumb as that. We spent so much effort, even to changing our bodies to evolve a set of vocal chords that mean we can choke on food or drink, and reduce massively our jaw muscles, reducing our ability to ACTUALLY EAT, then boogers comes along and treats all that effort to produce something which appears so empty yet so saccharine that there appears to be only an odd AI attempt behind the message.
I mean not to be mean, but if you got a NICE Donald Trump and stuck him up on a podium, or got some google translator to turn Trump's empty, volubous but utterly toxic and abrasive speeches into the same verbal content but entirely the opposite side of hate, that is PRECISELY what that Alternate Universe Trump would sound like.
