Finally: "Proof" of Global Warming

Honestly, how can the current administration ignore evidence such as this??

This amusing photograph has been recently making the rounds in email, so of course, I am happy to share it with you here. Although, if I had made this image, I would not have used the word "proof" in the caption since science discovers new knowledge, it does not prove anything; mathematics does, though.

Thanks, Dawn!

Mathematics cannot be used to prove anything you want inconclusively. Within a given set, there will exist certain axioms that are impossible to prove with the capabilities of that given set. Also, some statements cannot be proven no matter how much human and computer time you spend thinking about them.

The computer is a great help though. Someone once postulated that you can color the map of the world in four colors without any color touching another color and you could always color the whole map. Nobody could prove it with a mathematical approach. Until somebody fed the data into a computer and it thought for a few days and said that it came up with ways to do this no matter at which country you started. Are we happy with this 'proof'?
