Since I am having trouble getting out to roam the city and take pictures, I thought I'd return us to the upstairs subway platform at AMNH for a couple days to look at a few pieces that I haven't yet shared with you.

Yep, the claws on the anterior border of the wing gives it away. Grrl, you must be the first person to publicize this subway tile work to a wider audience outside your SMSA or whatever.
I love all these mosaics but this one's just a little bit ... disturbing.
I think it's more likely Microraptor than Archaeopteryx. But who knows?
Pretty sure I've seen that exact pose used in drawings of Archaeopteryx before. Great mosaic. ^_^
