It's a juvenile Bedragled Heron. It has a posture of resignation, messy feathers, and is staring blankly off into space.

Juvenile heron of some sort, based on the bill structure. Too dark to be a Cattle Egret or Night Heron. Bill structure is wrong for Great Blue Heron. I'm guessing Green Heron juvenile. Cute kid!

I agree, juvenile Green Heron, with an additional mark -- the eye is yellow. In Night Herons, the eye is red at least by the time the birds leave the nest.
