Suomenlinna is one of my two favorite haunts in Helsinki. Suomenlinna is an island fortress was built from stone by the Swedes to protect Finland (which was a part of Sweden in the 1700s) from invasion by sea.

Now you get to see all the cool things in life! I saw an injured gray parrot at the rescue center the other day where I dropped off my injured cedar waxwing and as night follows the day...thought of you!
