Via Thngsbreak, we have the charming Lord Monckton back at it with all out Birtherism:
The diligent, unpaid heroes who have been investigating the dodgy document for more than a year on behalf of the people of Maricopa County, Ariz., have found a long list of irregularities in Mr. Obama’s identification documents.
I have used the investigators’ list to draw up a schedule of probabilities – one for each individual irregularity. The probability that the “birth certificate” and other Obama identity documents are genuine is just 1 in 75 sextillion.
Funny, that was just about the same odds I gave for him having a clue about anything about which he publishes.
While you are at ThingsBreak, also see his post (from a while ago) on the chances of a very white Christmas for the US this year and how it would effect the climate denial industry. I also meant to comment on his grouchy assessment of the role of natural gas in climate mitigation but never got around to it.....

Funnily enough, I thought of this rubbish while watching the election coverage.
Obama having Springsteen belting out Born In The USA in support of him was a subtle (??) message to all those birthers.
there is no climate denial industry, but only a criminal fraud climate faked agw industry with low intelligence church members
So human-caused global warming is "faked" by an "industry" with "low intelligence church members"?
Evidence?
And on this matter, if it is all just a faked industry you should be gagging to take from me my 15 bars of 99.99% gold, as per your challenge from a while back. After all, if there's no warming on a scale that can only be caused by humans given the absence of natural forcings that would explain any such warming, I'm handing you my gold on a plate.
From whence stems your cowardly blatherskittishness in agreeing to my meeting of your challenge?
@gambling addict bernard: "warming on a scale that can only be caused by humans", caused by upwards homogenized thermometer data heated from hot jet engine air etc. etc. etc.
hahahahahahaha, what a great nonsense this so called really warming is. hahahahaha
kai, you´re boring.
Also he's a coward.
But I suspect he's one of those guys who get off on people belittling him. His pride in his incapacity at anything has no other rational explanation.
'course he could just be as nuts as screaming mad lord monkfish.
Kai.
You wanted people to put money behind their acceptance of human-caused global warming. I accepted your challenge and did exactly that.
So now that someone has responded to your request and put money behind their position, you capitulate. Totally and abjectly. This has universally been my experience with deniers of human-caused climate change, which indicates to me that they don't have the faith of their ideologies, even though they trumpet those ideologies loudly and in the face of all rational evidence to the contrary.
And as you are slow of learning, let me reiterate that in my day-to-day life in the 'real world' I do not gamble. Not on horses, or on dogs, or on poker machines, or on lottery tickets, or on cards - nothing. I'm happy to put money on the fact of the melting of Arctic sea ice though because I am very familiar with the physics and the statistical trajectories underpinning this melting. I'm also happy to put my money forward because I am determined to test the real beliefs of the likes of you who are all full of bravado right up to the moment that they have to demonstrate their faith in their denial of rational science, at which point they unfailingly run to hide behind their mothers' aprons.
With science behind me my wager is not a gamble, as I am almost sure to win, just as the physics of 'greenhouse'-induced climate change indicates. In other words, my wager is a carefully calculated risk assessment, and as much as you avoid acknowledging this deep down in your quivering bowels you understand it too. You understand that you have no chance of your position being vindicated.
And to date even getting a denialatus to accept my wager has not been a gamble, because as I noted above you are all too chicken-shit to step to the plate. I long for the day when one of your crowd is brave enough to stand behind their claims and let me take their money.
Monckton - by his own adnmission - suffers from Grave's disease, which is accompanied by mental disorder. That may to some extent explain his absurd assertions.
In the field of politics he is highly paranoid, suspecting a world Marxist conspiracy behind every notion that does not find his approval.
Kai.
Strawman of the most pathetically clumsy sort.
I said nothing about thermometers or jet engines or or urban heat islands or anything else of the sort. I'm talking about what is currently the most obvious and profound indication of the planet warming in response to human activity, and that is the loss of Arctic sea ice.
That is what I propose we wager on. So why are you afraid to take me up on the offer of parting with my money, as you originally requested that I and my science-accepting colleagues do?
Huh?
Jan.
My thoughts exactly.
If Monckton was simply an anonymous nobody not inclined to make in public the conspicuous noise that he does, I suspect that he would be quietly treated for what appears to be a significant loss of mental faculty.
Crank magnetism in spades here.
For the non-USAans reading this: The so-called investigative team Monckton refers to was assembled by Joe Arpaio, an utter lunatic who nonetheless is repeatedly reelected to the position of Sheriff of Maricopa County. He is sufficient reason to avoid all travel to Phoenix, which is the seat of Maricopa County.
@adelady: Nice bit of jiu jitsu on Springsteen's part. Springsteen never intended "Born in the USA" to be a patriotic song (it's about an unemployed Vietnam War veteran), but Republicans have been using it as one ever since the album was released.
smith, you are more boring, much more even ...
bernard, you committed many mistakes, aming the two major ones:
1: you are a gambler since you perfecrly know that your chances of winning are extremely low
2: what you call "science" is not real science, it's only politically influenced post-normal climate pseudo-"science", full of violations of normal science and where hysteric alarmism to get public attention is the most important motivation of hysteric climate "scientists" to do their demagogic work
Ever the pathetic looser, this kai. I don't know why any of you bother to engage with it.
kai, why did you make the bet when you never intended to be committed to it? you are a coward with a very big mouth. funny thing is - you know that.
OK, so why won't you take my gold given that your chances of winning must, conversely, be extremely high?
Why, you little piece of chicken-shit?
WHY?
Yeah, kai, not only is it science, the mechanism behind it is pretty much eighth grade physics. You might be in over your head here.
Because the little shithead knows they're talking bolllocks.
Being, what, 12 years old? 10? Something along those lines, they're raging against "the machine" because they haven't found out what their position in life is.
"he could just be as nuts as screaming mad lord monkfish"
Please do not confuse the late great Screaming Lord Sutch with Monckton.
Lord Sutch,, the 3rd Earl of Harrow was born as such , in contrast to the discount viscount , who was born a commoner like his father and grandfather before him.
The title that is the object of so much forelock tuggery by defeential birthers was bestowed on his granddad in1956.
