130 Years

Watch the video below and see if you can see where the warming stops:

(seen at the wonderful APOD site)

Via last Thursday's APOD, I came to this site where I downloaded an excellent, high-res video about some recent research out of Germany. Over the last 16 years, a team of astronomers have taken images of a tiny patch of sky that is the very center of the milky way. By doing this they have been…

From the "just because it's beautiful" department, have a look at the image sequence below. Thanks again to APOD! Water Dance from Alex Cherney on Vimeo.
From APOD: (click on image for full resolution, totally awesome!) Here is an equally stuning video of that prominence erupting: Ironic that according to the IPCC that massive ball of fire has nothing to do with the climate which is entirely controled by CO2, isn't it? (As humour is hard to detect…

Or you can google Phil Jones and obtain his perspective.

As long as you ignore the Daily Mail piece by David Rose, who is a known distorter of what people tell him. He even got Judith Curry upset.

Oh wait, that is the only source PaulinMI has...

There has been very little or no warming for many years, pick your point. And the kooks are grasping at straws instead of accepting reality.

It's ok, ideology will do that.

Linear thinking in a logarithmic world.
Again.

Wow, pauline sure is edumacated, look at the big words he uses:

Linear thinking in a logarithmic world.

Too bad he doesn't have a clue as to what they mean.

Ian,
You are a scoundrel, shoo fly.

Paul's looking in the mirror AGAIN!

Paul

I did what you asked, I Googled Phil Jones, and I even provided a link to his latest work. I then asked you what your point was, to which you responded that there has been little to no warming for many years.

The only problem with that is that it would be impossible to draw that conclusion from the work cited. Indeed, it specifically says exactly the opposite. So I am going to ask you again, what was the point you were trying to make when you suggested that we google Phil Jones?

I think your quote about ideology says it all really. You have adopted such a blinkered ideological position that you even ignore the evidence that you provide. That pretty much sums up why people like you deserve nothing but contempt.

The data on page 32 from rahmstorf and foster is the first piece of interesting info you've brought to the discussion. I'm going to have to follow up on that with some of the denier web sites.

Further comment on the foster rahmstorf graph.
It's particularly curious that these various factors all worked together to result in a nice linear rise over some 30 years.
