Before I close the book on the Science-Based Medicine Conference and TAM7 for 2009, I have a quick request of you, my readers. Specifically, I'd really appreciate it if any of you who were at the SBM Conference and/or TAM7 and took pictures, to send me copies, preferably full resolution. As you might guess, at the SBM Conference I didn't have time to take more than a handful of pictures myself, and obviously I couldn't take pictures of the Anti-Anti-Vax Conference at TAM7 because, well, I was participating in it. The e-mail address is orac@scienceblogs.com.
And thanks to everyone who reads my mental meanderings every day here and elsewhere...

Update: welcome Consumerist readers! While I use my own experience to illustrate concerns about third-party online merchants, this post is mainly about the bigger long-term informational problems I see with reputation, reliability, and online communities. Please feel free to weigh in!

Last July we wrote about the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing and spoke of Buzz Aldrin's autobiography about his battle with alcoholism in the years following. The post drew a comment from a reader who I've renamed "Anon."
Thank you so much for this post.

I regret that I didn't take many pictures, though I took a lot of notes, and am posting summaries of the SBM conference presentations and TAM7 presentations at my blog. So far, I've posted summaries of the first four SBM presentations and hope to finish writing up the SBM conference tomorrow.
I wish I could help you. I did put a message on the JREF section here:

From there I found this album:

By the way, my fifteen year old daughter has told me she would like to go the next TAM. It is not possible this year due to a planned trip to visit several relatives... But I will be there to stalk you next year!
I have a bunch of pictures of the anti-anti-vax panel that I'll send your way as soon as I get them transferred over to my computer (so probably sometime this weekend).
SD card was corrupt & we lost all but 2 pics. I've gotten a lot from facebook posts, but the resolution isn't great so I had to beg for a couple of pics myself. Sorry!
I'm sending you 3 from SBM conference: let me know if there are any problems.
I've just finished processing the Anti-anti-vax panel.

The full-size, 100% quality versions are there and downloadable.
From the JREF forum I found some more:

There are some of you on the Anti-anti-vax panel on the "Day 2" of TAM. On "Day 1" there is a photo of the Science Based Medicine panel. Plus there are some really goofy pics of Dr. Novella, and I mean some really goofy looking faces!
By the way, if you go to TAM 8 I promise to stalk responsibly.
