I've managed to fill up the next three months--and especially April--with a number of speaking engagements, including my first real swing through the Midwest, with talks at Bowling Green (April 5), Michigan State (April 6), and Kalamazoo College (April 7). Meanwhile, there are also some really fun events coming up, like a D.C. "Drinking Liberally" (April 12) and, of course, the Yearly Kos science panel in Vegas (June 9).
Please see here for a complete listing of everything that's been scheduled so far--some 14 events in different parts of the country over the next several months. Meanwhile, if perchance you're anywhere near SUNY Purchase, I'm speaking there on Tuesday the 7th of this month. More info here.

Today we celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, an environmental "teach-in" first promoted by Senator Gaylord Nelson in 1970.
Less than a month now! Dear Aard readers Heather Flowers and Erin Emmerich of the University of Minnesota have invited me to speak there in April. My wife will accompany me and interpret whenever we run into someone who speaks only Mandarin.
I've been sadly slack on content the last few days, but well, it is spring and I'm busy. And tired at the end of the day. And Stoneleigh of The Automatic Earth was visiting. And well...hey, it is 66 degrees, sunny and beautiful.
Slight changes in the hosting line-up for the Tar Heel Tavern:
Too bad your talk at BGSU isn't a few days later. My parents live 20 mins. from there and I'll be there that weekend (April 8-9) for my grandma's 80th birthday.
Ah, no Pacific Northwest trek? We've got a lot of good old libs up here, but we're also the home for one of the most nefarious anti-science conservative think tanks in the country, the Discovery Institute. I'd love to see a debate between you and, say, Phil Johnson. Not that Johnson would deign to debate you, but one-half of the equation would be nice.
Tara: Alas....but that would put my Bowling Green talk on a weekend, no the best time for on-campus events.
Johnny: I'm sure I'll be back up to the Pacific northwest soon enough, although not necessarily for a debate. The paperback comes out in the fall. I'll probably be doing another tour then that may take me through Seattle/Portland.
Darn it, Chris, you would schedule a talk in Kalamazoo now that I've moved away from there! I'll be sure to clue in my progressive biologist friends at Western Michigan, of course!
Any plans to speak in the Rochester, NY area in the foreseeable future?
Sorry, no Rochester plans, but if you know anyone that might invite me....
