Among my various trips, I just spent three days in North Carolina doing a series of talks and meeting the locals. And now, thankfully, we've got a picture from my blogger meetup in Durham, featuring myself, Coturnix, and Dave Munger, courtesy of Abel Pharmboy (who is behind the lens):

Not necessarily my best ever picture, but I do like the fact that, to the right, my brother's CD is changing hands! Thanks again to Abel Pharmboy for being both my host and my photographer in NC--and for his recent post on resveratrol, possible anti-aging substance, which dredges up my fairly ancient writings on the subject and, believe it or not, pronounces them accurate. I find this particularly amazing because I can't even remember much any more about the science of aging--although I used to write on it constantly....

Once again, I'm speaking on election day, hopefully after the results are in, in Coral Gables, and then in Orlando two days later. These are the last two public speeches for a while--perhaps until 2007. Not sure yet. Again, these are the details: Tuesday, November 7 8:00-9:00 PM BOOKS & BOOKS…
I have had a very, very good September. I traveled across the country, and back, twice (with offset credits for my carbon). I gave fifteen speeches, to (I would guess) over a thousand people in total. At many of my stops I made new friends, or was able to get reacquainted with old ones. I even got…

From the pic, I'd say you were at Tyler's in Durham, which is in the same complex as my employer... if you're in the area again, drop me a line, I'll buy you beer!
