Truly Inspiring

Turned out my home electricity too.

Two comments: Pacific Gas and Electric (as well as a motorist meeting an electric pole) gave me the opportunity to extend this to 10 hrs (9:30 AM to 7:30 PM.) By that time, I had fired up a standby generator to make sure that our freezers did not defrost.

Still, I wonder if this act does not fall into the realm of slactivism. Urban Dictionary definition #1:

The act of participating in obviously pointless activities as an expedient alternative to actually expending effort to fix a problem.

There many list of effective actions and all are long. The top of all lists has to say "stop coal!"
