On Saturday, we took SteelyKid to the Bronx Zoo. It was kind of hot, and she got a little over-tired by the end, but it had a lot of amazingly cute moments, too. And, unlike Sunday's trip to the beach, I brought my camera and shot a couple hundred pictures of various things. Including this shot of…
Kij Johnson's The Fox Woman, the story of a fox in Heian-era Japan who becomes a woman for the sake of love, was a beautiful and moving book, so, of course, I bought her next book, Fudoki immediately. And then, it took me three years to get around to reading it... There's no real good reason for…

AWWWWWWW. I want that cat! And if my cat didn't mind other cats being around (she does), I'd come to Jersey and steal that cat from you.

He also isn't mine. I am petsitting him (+1 other cat, +1 dog) but I see him often enough that I feel like he's one of mine. :)

What a cutie. I have a tabby the same color named, Bond. James Bond. We actually call him Jimmy because although he's pretty handsome he's only about 1-1/2 years old and is still full of crazy antics!
