Gulls: perhaps my least-favorite birds. In Anchorage, anyway, the gulls are aggressive and obnoxiously loud.
Animals, like movie actors, have to be wary of success lest they become over-exposed and turn off the audience. Also, people cannot appreciate any creature who invades any niche that involves the copious amount of waste which is such a prominent product of current society.
