++?????++ Out of Cheese Error. Redo From Start

I would have taken Bérubé's Transhumanist test seriously, but when I hit the last option my brain locked up and crashed hard. It took hours to download and restore the backup. Thanks heaps, Michael!

Boy did I somehow manage to avoid a major disaster last night. After I got home from the BBQ party, I decided I was going to install Windows XP on my computer (I've been using Windows 98 SE for years and never bothered to upgrade because I never really had a reason to). So I put in the CD, it…
As you can see, there's no new post for today. I think you'll forgive me if you know the reason. Basically, back in March, there were a number of storms, and we lost power for several days, followed by its going on and off a couple of times before finally being restored for good. Even though I have…
Pharyngula has been nominated for a Cobb Award. No, actually, that's not quite right: you, the readers of Pharyngula, have been nominated for an award for Worst Community. It sounds awful, but don't panic (they almost instituted a 'Most Super-extra Worst Professor EVAR-INFINITY' award, and then I…
I confess that I have not read Bérubé's new book, yet. It's on my list, but that list is long and dreadfully discouraging…and now, Chris Clarke has undermined the book's sales by publishing a condensed version of its contents. I also suspect that Bérubé's book lacks the beautiful illustrations. All…

By looking at the image properties I was able to discover that the person pictured was Glenn Reynolds. Since I still didn't know who that was, I Googled him and found out he is InstaPundit. I was vaguely aware of who that was, so I declared my search for answers complete.

Damn you Jethro--I used the same ingenious "properties" method to the same result, but you beat me to publication.

Are you sure the FTB was installed?

Jethro- trust me, you were extremely wise to halt your investigation there. The brain crashes caused by attempting to read Instapundit are even worse than the one suffered by PZ.

Erm, it may not be relevant, but our cat is called HEX ....
(Short for Hexadecimal - because we wonder if she can count to sixteen (mice))

Uh... I clicked on the link, but I didn't see any test - only a bunch of pictures from films and a picture of some jerk who doesn't look like he has had a real thought since 1980.

The trick is to store the backup in ethanol - the pickling makes it wellpreserved and ready to put the boot in. (Of course, the later may be awkward at times. : -)
