Botanical Wednesday: We're all thinking sunflowers

We drove by fields of sunflowers the other day, which was a nice change from the usual endless fields of corn and soybeans.

Sometimes, reading philosophy is a lot like medieval torture. For some reason, talking about things like objectivity in ethics or the meaning of existence requires numerous dry definitions and explanations. This process causes the reader to be overwhelmed and confused.
Stories about the honeybee crisis and colony collapse disorder (CCD) keep turning up in the news (at least here in California, where we grow so many big cash crops like almonds that rely on honeybees to pollinate them).
