I am already sick of Ohio State-Michigan, and the they haven't even played yet. Can we at least get a final score before we declare this the Greatest Football Game of All Time?
I can't quite decide what I'm rooting for, here, but it's either a 0-0 tie, or a 54-0 blowout. Whichever would make the hype machine look worse.
Suggestions are welcome in the comments.

You probably remember Coach Dave Daubenmire (yes, he still calls himself coach although he was only a high school football coach and hasn't been for quite some time, since he stepped down to became a full time windbag for the religious right). Well he's back with one of the silliest arguments…
There was a lot of basketball played yesterday, and a lot more will be played today, but the most important of these games was unquestionably Syracuse's victory over Maryland last night in the Carrier Dome.
What? Yes it's an NIT game, not an NCAA game. So what? They're the two teams I root for, and…
Friday's games showcased everything that makes international soccer maddening for Americans to watch: dreadful officiating, lack of scoring, and annoyingly conservative strategy. The referee in the Germany-Serbia game handed out cards like it was a poker tournament, with the result that, in the…
So, the participants are set for the Mythical "National Championship" of college football. It's Florida vs. Ohio State, thanks to USC's loss to UCLA, and we're going to be treated to about three weeks' worth of whining about how Michigan got jobbed.
I pretty much agree with Charles Kuffner on this…
One team (I really don't care who) kicks 3 field goals in the first quarter. Then both teams either punt or fumble back and forth for the rest of the game. Final score, 9-0.
Though I've always wanted to see a major football game end 2-0...
Family legend has it that my wife's great-grandfather made the tackle for a safety that sealed Chicago's 2-0 victory over Michigan in something like 1903.
Yes, *that* Chicago. They were actually pretty good before the big-time football program was dismantled in the 1930s and they sold their uniforms (and "monsters of the midway" nickname) to the Bears. Now they're Division 3, I believe. And the old stadium grounds now house the main library.
Why? Wouldn't you really rather watch a great football game?
Dave, Would those stadium grounds be the same location as Chicago Pile-1?
As far as OSU/Michigan I live near too many OSU fans and am getting really sick of them. So go Michigan, although I probably won't watch.
Chicago has sunk so low, that their Women's Rugby team was stomped by Northwestern's team 65 to 5! I grew up in OH, but don't really care - way too much hype - I will be watching Northwestern play Illinois. Go Cats!

I think this increases the odds of Michigan victory.
Hey, if they are still tied after n-overtimes, can they just call it and have them
replay the game for the BCS? Or would that guarantee Rutgers vs Boise for the championship?
In games like this, where I really don't care much about either team and the hype machine is already cranked up to full throttle, I tend to root for natural disasters. Last years Rose Bowl (I can't stand both Texas and USC) I was rooting for an earthquake. OSU-Texas, I was hoping for an out of season twister. This one, well, earthquakes aren't likely, neither are tornadoes, so perhaps a blizzard coupled with enough fog that not even the officials can see the action on the field.
anyway, they say football games are never called due to weather. In games like this, I root for the exceptions to that rule.
Troy Smith, at least, is living up to the hype. He looks great, and OSU has had an excellent game plan through the first 30 minutes. I'm looking for Smith to top four bills through the air vs. U of M at this point.
Jeff, yes, they would be. Rumor has it there is still detectable radiation in the sub-basements of Regenstein Library.
