Kate here:
Since Chad's out of town, you get Substitute Parent Blogging today. It's with my non-DSLR camera (and also taken very fast before she decided she wanted the camera more than what she had), it's with something other than Appa, and it's eloquent of "I miss Daddy and want to be just like him."
I tried to tell her that Chad doesn't actually wear those gloves to play hoop, but she wasn't having any of it.

Chad Orzel now knows more than he would like to about the loathsome political views of some old acquaintances.
Chad Orzel is pretty sure the people in question don't read the blog, or at least won't know he's talking about them.
Here is a list of Basic Concept posts in Physics and Astronomy.
Last night I had the good fortune to meet Dr. Chad Orzel, who just so happens to blog right here on SEED ScienceBlogs at Uncertain Principles. Chad is a physics professor at Union College and blogs on everything physics!
The obligatory "Aw! :)"
I bet once a month or so with Appa would be adequate for keeping track of scale. This is a wonderful picture! More like this, please!
You have followed the best maxim I know for taking good pictures of people: Give your subject something to do.
Best wishes, as always,
Elizabeth (whom you don't know from Eve, but who loves Thursday Baby Blogging)
Daddy is "Appa" (or more closely "Apba") in Korean.
Silly Mommy. Without the gloves, her hands aren't big enough to palm the ball.
"Appa" means daddy in most Indian languages too.
