The Vegetarian Hundred

I saw this meme over at Adventures in Ethics and Science: The Vegetarian's Hundred, a veggie-flavored response to the recent Omnivore's Hundred meme. I'm going to play by Janet's rules, which are:

[original] If you want to play along, here's how you do it: copy the list, including my instructions, and bold any items you have eaten and strike out any you would never eat, and then post it to your blog.

[janet's addendum] I'm going to add the following rule: italicize items you have made (or grown) yourself. (Presumably, you've eaten those as well.)

My list is below the fold.

Following on from the last food meme, Janet gives us 100 vegetarian dishes to try. As there is nothing vegetarian I won't try, I'l just bold those I have tried and pass this along. As usual, comments are welcome. 1. Real macaroni and cheese, made from scratch and baked 2. Tabouleh 3. Freshly…
Sean assesses his familiarity with the Omnivore's Hundred. I thought about playing along, but it's pretty meaty, while my diet is not so much. However, Sean was kind enough to post a link to the Vegetarian's Hundred, a list of one hundred vegetarian food items everyone should try at least once…
In college I lived in a house where I was the only female resident among a largish group of guys. Along with assorted boyfriends, girlfriends and hangers on, our house became a hang-out for a lot of people, and we regularly sat down with 15-20 people for dinner. Our food budgets, however, were…
