Weekend Diversion: Would you like to yell at the Moon with Buzz Aldrin?

"I walked on your face!" -Buzz Aldrin, to the Moon

Do you watch my favorite show on television, 30 Rock? If you saw this last week's episode, you know that Tina Fey's character Liz Lemon got to meet Buzz Aldrin, who... randomly yells at the Moon.

(I'm sure this video will get taken down soon, so enjoy it while it lasts.)

Buzz is well-known for his sense of humor, good nature, and eloquence, in addition to his opinions on NASA and space exploration. But it's wonderful to see two of my favorite things in this world team up to make me laugh so hard!

Have a great weekend!

As many of you know, I'm a big Doctor Who fan. Big enough that I've grabbed all of the episodes of the new series, and its spinoffs, via BitTorrent. (I also buy them on DVD as soon as they become available.) A few folks have asked me what I think of the spinoffs. And I'm sick at home, feeling like…
Last Friday, NASA released a report on astronaut health care that revealed two incidents of on-the-job alcohol abuse. Even though NASA rules forbid drinking alcohol while in orbit, a New Scientist article published online on Tuesday suggests that a few astronauts have done it (including Buzz…
Another week, another batch of photos. This is coming on Friday rather than the weekend because I'm going to be incommunicado for most of the next week, and have some free time now. 284/366: LIGO, Eat Your Heart Out Gravity wave clouds above our house. Sure, LIGO detected gravitational waves…
This time around, we're talking to Mark Chu-Carroll of Good Math/Bad Math. What's your name? Mark Chu-Carroll What do you do when you're not blogging? Chase my children around.... (I've got a 6 year-old girl and a 3 1/2 year-old boy.) Cook. Chase my children some more. Make bizarrely elaborate…

HAHHAHA!! "Don't you know it's day?!? Idiot!!!"

Thanks for posting that clip of last week's 30 Rock with Buzz Aldrin.
I just recently have gotten TV back into my evenings, having rarely watched much in prime time, for years before, but respected associates raved about the 30Rock and so I started watching a few weeks ago..it really has proven to be an amazingly amusing piece of work. A comedy of manners for our culture, and that Buzz segment, and what leads up to it, is just so friggin'...what is the word?...excellent. Back into the darkness.

Personally I'd rather bark at it with Ozzy ;)
