"I walked on your face!" -Buzz Aldrin, to the Moon
Do you watch my favorite show on television, 30 Rock? If you saw this last week's episode, you know that Tina Fey's character Liz Lemon got to meet Buzz Aldrin, who... randomly yells at the Moon.
(I'm sure this video will get taken down soon, so enjoy it while it lasts.)
Buzz is well-known for his sense of humor, good nature, and eloquence, in addition to his opinions on NASA and space exploration. But it's wonderful to see two of my favorite things in this world team up to make me laugh so hard!
Have a great weekend!

One of the greatest achievements in the history of our planet…
Today: July 20th, 2009. The 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. The very first time mankind walked on the Moon. From liftoff,
to walking down the lunar landing module for the first time,
to some of the most iconic images in all of human history:
It brings up a sense of wonder…
But I want you to know something... you and me, it's not gonna be a one-way street. 'Cause I don't believe in one-way streets. Not between people, and not while I'm driving. So, here's some advice I wish I woulda got when I was your age: Live every week like it's Shark Week. -Tracy Jordan, 30 Rock…
Yesterday we lost Neil Armstrong, an accidental hero, thrust by fate onto a rock in the sky. Many dreamt of walking on the moon before he did, and a few men did after him. He happened to be the first. Hopefully many more men, and women too, will echo his iconic footsteps in the future. Perhaps even…
HAHHAHA!! "Don't you know it's day?!? Idiot!!!"
Thanks for posting that clip of last week's 30 Rock with Buzz Aldrin.
I just recently have gotten TV back into my evenings, having rarely watched much in prime time, for years before, but respected associates raved about the 30Rock and so I started watching a few weeks ago..it really has proven to be an amazingly amusing piece of work. A comedy of manners for our culture, and that Buzz segment, and what leads up to it, is just so friggin'...what is the word?...excellent. Back into the darkness.
Personally I'd rather bark at it with Ozzy ;)
