I've been on holiday, I don't know if you noticed. We came back via Bayeux and here I post a little-known pic from the famous tapestry (yes really). You are to imagine the nice ladies of the time happily needle-pointing away, although perhaps that isn't such a good image now I think of it.

It's even better in person. I went there in 1995. It just chock full of awesome nooks and crannies of history. Bayeux also has WW2 museum (assuming it didn't get blown down in a big wind storm some yeras ago) and is a beautiful Rent-a-Bicycle ride to the beaches of Normandy. The restaraunts are super too.
