From the wonderful Benson.

Stanley Fish of the NYTimes Think Again blog has some interesting things to say about the appointment of Bruce Benson, oil magnate and Republican activist, to be president of the University of Colorado at Boulder. The appointment raised eyebrows and protests from the faculty and students. Partly…
How NOT to practice medicine - no matter how bad the health care situation gets: Benson has no medical degree. His expertise comes from his youth, which was spent on a farm in Indiana. "When one of us needed medical attention," he told me, "we dipped into our veterinary supplies." According to…
Remember that special moment when everything changed. Were you listening to a particular song? Or was it some food? Well a couple of friends just posted about such associations. The first is from Tall Med Student, a former Harvard postdoc who is now a med student at the University of Calgary. In…

Hey, if Isaac Hayes wanted to shield Scientology from any negative attention, he has failed woefully! If anybody had not yet gotten the memo about Scientogy's insanity, he's just reposted it with his ridiculous gesture followed up by his pathetic disingenuous explanation.

Fun fact: Barry White was originally the model for Chef but because he's a devout Christian he declined the voice job.

Priceless.

From what I understand, after the trapped in the closet episode aired, Isaac Hayes laughed it off saying it's not really like that. He then suffered a stroke, and while he was recovering, the whole I'm quitting because you make fun of religion thing happened. There is speculation that it was his $cientology handlers who actually were behind his change of heart. Of course, that is speculation, but I can see it happening.
