Well, it looks like Professor Steve Steve, my laptop, my iPod, a plush octopus, and various other precious papers are not to be recovered. Insurance will help some, but I've put together an Amazon.com wishlist to collect a list of things I need to replace. Anyone who wants to help out would be most appreciated.
