True confessions: I mouth-pipetted in freshman biology lab in 1985. Sadly, I was a bit overzealous with the 1 mL pipet and TOLUENE. Spent the rest of lab rinsing my mouth at the water fountain and feel for a week or so like I had drank boiling hot coffee.
