There is a great post on Mike Daisey's excellent blog with regards to the aftermath of the recent vandalism incident at ART. It turns out that the man who poured water on Daisey's notes was a religious fellow whowanted to protect his high school class from evil atheist thoughts. Mike tracked down the vandal and had a quite civil conversation with the guy - a fascinating read.

I'm always amazed (not really) that Christians are totally controlled and motivated by fear, a tendency that is capitalized on by the Republican party.
What ever happened to "Yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me"?
Sigh.
Whatever happened to "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" or "love your neighbor as you love yourself?" Whatever happened to the warning that it's easy to love a friend but you also need to love your enemies? Whatever happened to "blessed are the peacemakers" or "turn the other cheek"? It's pretty clear that many self-identified christians in fact do not follow the teachings of their book.

Gee, I'm sure glad we have those who don't generate unfair generalizations from a few individuals. For instance I'd never be stupid enough to say scientists who generate bigoted conclusions from a few anecdotes entails all scientists do.

One thing most people are missing. It seems to me, Mr Mike Daisey, knew before he posted on youtube, who this group were and came from. In the info area of the clip It states 87 members of a Christian group. why?
I talk to him about this in messages ,he said he had posted before he knew who they were. It does not look that way to me . The one that puts the clips on youtube, are able to pull their clips, and repost, They can remove comments and block viewers from making a comment. Which he did to me.

Why? After reading much about Mr. Daisey and hid followers. I think I have the answer.
Seems as he forgave 1 and punished 86 others lets not count the other 11 adults just the 75 kids that were 14-17 years of age.
He heard there cries with their comments .
They were high school kids from s. California .there for choral competition.
To date 5-4-02 more info still shows Christian groupl. He said 4-21-07 is a repost .but he did not amend info
