I went up there about 15 years ago, camped below the trail, Cheyne-Stokes breathing all night. Headed up the trail to the summit with my girlfriend, but she got horrible altitude sickness about 100 meters from the top and we had to turn back before seeing the awesome view of Mt Shasta. I hope to go back some day.
