For those in the Boston metro area.

First up, next Friday, November 9th, there will be a conference being held here at the Medical Campus entitled Publishing in the New Millennium: A Forum on Publishing in the Biosciences. Not only is fellow blogger Anna Kushnir part of the organizing committee, but Bora Zivkovic (from A Blog Around the Clock) is one of the invited panelists.

A reception, sponsored in part by the Nature Publishing Group/Nature Network, will follow the forum.

This forum is generously sponsored by the Harvard Biophysics Program and the Harvard Integrated Life Sciences (HILS) Program. Questions?

All are invited so please forward widely!

Second I'd like to highlight another event that was stated in the above anouncement. Following the talks, Nature Network Boston is sponsoring another "Pub-Night" that will be held here at Harvard Medical School in the T-Mec courtyard. See Corie's entry for details.

Third on the 20th of November we are hosting the next instalment of the New England RNA Club (NERD Club). The program will include:

It starts at 6PM in the Cannon Room, Building C here on the Harvard Medical School Quad. For more info visit the website.

Fourth, a week after NERD comes BAYM, or Boston Area Yeast Meeting. A tip of the hat to Marcelo Vinces, from the Verstrepen Lab, who revived the club and put up this great website. It's taking place Thursday November 29th, 2007 @ the Broad Institute. Speakers include:

Amy Rowat

OK that's all I have for now. (It looks like November will be action packed.)
