Oh dear

Baymate just freaked-out over that bio-rad PCR clip that's been making the rounds. If you really want to see it, look beneath the fold.

More like this

Yesterday, I posted a memorial for Ron Mardigian, an enthusiastic champion of science education at Bio-Rad. Today, I scanned RPM's blog and what do I see? A choir! Bio-Rad has produced a really funny music video. It reminds me of the music video from "We are the World," except some members…
We often see memorials written about famous scientists, but we rarely see them about the people who work in the background to help people learn the science in the first place. Ron was one of those people whose work inspired teachers and helped spark excitement in science students throughout the…

*sigh* If I liked it, does that cement my status as a geeky bench scientist? I like how they hoisted the thermalcycler like it was a new baby, brought to the fore.

This is great advertising, isn't it? Viral, targeted and displaying great talent. They even make a side reference to Bob Dylans' bit in "We Are the World."

It makes me want to buy a PCR, and I don't even know what it is.
