Atheists talk---and so does Dr. Pal

I was invited to speak on Atheist Talk this morning, a radio show put on by Minnesota Atheists. Stephanie Zvan did the interview, and she's quite good. The show is available as a podcast, and today's show had little to do at all with atheism (in fact, in all the times Stephanie and I have corresponded, I'm not sure if I've ever discussed my views on religion). This morning's show was on medicine and skepticism, and I think it's worth a listen.

Between the radio show and the bloggingheads gig, I didn't manage to crank out a PalCast today, but I'll see what i can do later in the week.

I've been a guest or interviewer on Minnesota Atheist Talk radio a number of times. I never talk about atheism because I'm nothing close to an expert on that or related issues (though I do have a chapter in a book about it, here!). And, of course, I'm very involved, professionally, in certain…
The long running Minnesota Atheist Talk Radio air's its very last show tomorrow morning at 9:00 Central Time. Details of how to listen to the show, which will also be a podcast, are here. This week's show will feature yours truly, and I'll be interviewed by Stephanie Zvan. The subject will be…
So, I have this friend who lives in the Midwest (nearest large city of consequence is Chicago1), who shall remain nameless (well, she has a name and all but I'm not telling you what it is) who brought up an interesting, not unusual, and sad dilemma. She has just moved into a new living situation,…
The series of interviews with some of the participants of the 2008 Science Blogging Conference was quite popular, so I decided to do the same thing again this year, posting interviews with some of the people who attended ScienceOnline'09 back in January. Today, I asked Stephanie Zvan of the Almost…

I thought you handled that last caller quite well. I probably would have had trouble telling her that her question was a good one and then remaining calm like you did.

Thank you, but I'm really only as good as my guests, which is why I've chosen them so carefully. You did an excellent job, and an amazing job with the callers.

I really enjoyed this podcast. I have 3 boys under the age of 6, and was really intrigued with the vaccination discussion. And I would agree that you handled the last caller quite well. I'm sure you could spend the entire hour addressing the callerâs issues. Perhaps in another podcast.
