If you recall, a while back we held a TED talk like event but with students front and centre. We called it Terry talks in concert with another project I'm involved with at UBC. In any event, all the student talks are now available for viewing (a la me figuring out how to use Final Cut).
Click here to go to the site, and then if you have a moment leave a comment or two here or there, it doesn't matter, but I'm curious what you think generally.

I wrote about this over at Terry, but will reprint here as well
This is interesting, if not a bit alarming. Essentially, this story follows a trail of individuals that even Kevin Bacon would be proud of.
The cast includes: a UBC student, her sister (also a UBC student), a senior level biology…

I tried to see two of these lectures --the ones by Andre Malan and Elysa Hogg--, but after 3 minutes or so the video stopped; when I double-clicked the screen, the video started replaying from the beginning. Does this happen to anyone else, or is it just my computer's fault?
Worked when I did it. Maybe internet speed issue?
The files that are directly linked to in the front page are quite big (100mb), so it does sound like a internet speed connection issue (i.e. the video is playing and catches up to point where it's downloading, then stops).
If on the main page, you click on the title instead of the image, you'll be brought to a specific page with info on the specific talk. One of the links there includes a lo-res version that will load a lot quicker (although not look as good).
Hope this helps! cheers, dave
I'll try that; thanks a lot!
