Revere links to a
curious Bloomberg News story
"...The first case was seen in Mexico on April 13. The outbreak coincided with the President Barack Obama's trip to Mexico City on April 16. Obama was received at Mexico's anthropology museum in Mexico City by Felipe Solis, a distinguished archeologist who died the following day from symptoms similar to flu, Reforma newspaper reported. The newspaper didn't confirm if Solis had swine flu or not. "
I presume the Secret Service takes sharp notice if someone who meets the President dies the next die from a mystery illness.
I also presume an autopsy was done.
Weird.

The most significant thing that has happened over the last 24 hours or so is that the CDC has confirmed a handful of Influenza A (H1N1) Swine Flu cases in new locations. Previously, cases were only identified in Texas and California.
Part eleven. Bears have the ball. They were doing OK until
their quarterback fell down.
Today has been proclaimed "Brian Urlacher Day," in New Mexico.
The Minnesota cases are not confirmed but health officials are saying they likely will be. There will be a press conference on this at 9:00 AM Wed.
A child in Texas has died of the flu.
This could wipe out the First Family!
This is what happens when you refuse to call in sick. :-\
La Jornada reports that it was heart failure on top of diabetes, not the flu, that Solis died of.
Another source I saw last night said heart failure due to pneumonia, on top of diabetes.
(Actually if I parse my non-existent spanish correctly, La Jornada also mentions complications form pneumonia).
The proximate cause of the pneumonia would be of interest.
Still haven't heard definitively if there was an autopsy or blood serum test.
yes,its really strange...
Do we have a "Swine 'flu' Obama" akin to "Typhoid Mary"?!
