It's nice to see these casual references to PZ Myers, as if anyone would have heard of me:
The lab is at 101 Theory Drive, a developer's idea of a scientific street name that Lynch found presumptuous.
It is a mark of the difficulty of life sciences — biology and its many descendants — that to call…
Every gamer's wet dream---controlling the game with your mind---may soon be a reality.

Yep, lucky me I'm off to Santa Fe tomorrow morning for the tenth annual SquInT conference. Holy moly ten years of SqUiNT conferences really makes me feel old. I wonder how many Chiles I've eaten over all of those conferences (and I don't even want to think about how many Margaritas or quantum…
Yeesh, it's $100 a pop http://www.makershed.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=MKBT1&Show=ExtI… and it requires both power adapter wire and ethernet cable... Switch it to PoE at least to cut the power cable. Or just perhaps, switch to a much lower power uC, only power up once a minute, and use, say Zigbee to communicate. IIRC, I've seen miniature boards with an tcp stack, PoE and analog sensor inputs for ~$15 per in bulk. I'll try and find the source and post it later.
I love it. Can it be more tongue in cheek.
