When proofreaders attack

Lindsay Beyerstein spanks Tim Blair:

Having dismissed statistical reasoning, Tim Blair goes on to reject peer review.

It's amazing the lengths some folks will go to avoid believing that the invasion of Iraq killed hundreds of thousands of people. I would have thought the big tough war bloggers would be telling the rest of us to suck up the hard truth and press onwards to the Glorious Outcome (whatever it is now). It is worth it, isn't it guys?

Instead, they're pulling the covers over their heads and saying, "What dead people?"

Blair fights back with his leet proofreading skills: Beyerstein misattributed a post!! OMG she is pwned!!!

More like this

Unlike some of my dear readers, the elder Free-Ride offspring, upon reading yesterday's post, immediately recognized it as an April Fool's Day joke. (This recognition was accompanied by only the barest hint of a smile. A mother's fine, dry wit is, apparently, an acquired taste.) Although that…

UPDATE II. A spitey fix from wrrrong grrrl Lindsay: "Correction: I incorrectly associated Michelle Malkin with AllahPundit's innumeracy. I apologize."

besides "spitey" not being a real word, there is no spite in that sentence.

Clarification: "there" meaning Tim Blair's site. I had studiously avoided it (having seen his nonsense comments here) until now.

Jeez, Blair is one lucky bastard!! What do I have to do to get a spanking from Lindsay Beyerstein?

"leet" should be "133t", surely? Naturally, this error in usage completely invalidates whatever substantive point you were trying to make.

Lindsey's both way smarter and way hotter than Tim Blair.

While I'm sure that both Mark's comments are correct, they hardly constitute lavish praise.

Well I for one have taken Blair and the other warblogger's entirely valid comments on board and, as such, have officially released a new Iraqi mortality study. You may view it here .

While I'm sure that both Mark's comments are correct, they hardly constitute lavish praise.

Lavish enough when you read the homoerotic freaky-Blair lovefest in the comments on his blog. Some people in their universe think he's both smart and hot. And they think hardly anyone has died in Iraq and if they have it's nothing to do with us. I prefer to live in the real world where morality and truth are stark in their brutal and tragic clarity and Lindsey is self-evidently smart and hot.

you know what, allegedly progressive guys? it would be great if you all would shut the fuck up about how hot Lindsey Beyerstein is. yes, she's an extremely attractive woman. we've all noticed that now. has it never occurred to you that it might be irritating to be treated to cheesy double-entendres when you post about Quine? I expect this kind of thing from the Reason/Hit and Run posters, who fall all over themselves and end up posting genuinely creepy things whenever a new female editor or intern comes on board. surely you, fine deltoid readers, can step it up a little.

You are so 1337 Bill Posters. Your point is invalidated by your incorrect usage.

belle waring - I'm pretty sure the 'she's way hot' comments are poking fun at Blair and the like references to M.Moore being fat and Malkin or Ann Coutler(?)or someone being both 'hot' and 'smart'.
