Hell freezes over: One instance where I support Tom Coburn

I dont like the US Senator from Oklahoma, Tom Coburn (lol, like I 'like' the other one, LOL!).

Generic humanoid that cares more about being a robot than contributing anything useful and good to this planet.

But when someone is right, they are right, end of story. Tom Coburn was right in this instance (video via H*ffP*st):

There's been a lot of discussion about the report released by Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) alleging waste and fraud by the National Science Foundation (NSF), including posts by Dr. O, Steve Silberman, Namnezia, NeuroDojo, The Prodigal Academic, and Stephanie Pappas. The first thing to realize about…
This is interesting, if true, and it is mostly about legislation regulating access to reproductive services at the federal and state level. I have a column written by conservative Charles Biggs that makes the claim that Senator Tom Coburn, Republican of Oklahoma, is "telling us that if the…
Despite his apparent random and brief moments of lucidity, I cant say Im a 'big fan' of Oklahoma senator and physician Tom Coburn (click here to read his completely insane 'analysis' of HIV/AIDS). He says hes 'PRO-LIFE' yet he held up funds for HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention in Africa because…
I felt a sense of déjà vu Tuesday morning when I heard NPR's Nell Greenfieldboyce reporting on Senator Tom Coburn's attacks on National Science Foundation-funded research. I realized that the same thing happened last August, and I wrote about it in a post called "Scoring Political Points by…

Yeah, my girlfriend saw this before me and she told me about it, since she moved here from Michigan just recently I thought she couldn't be right. There is no way Coburn said something intelligent. Yet, there it is. I am just as shocked as you.

Well, hell didn't stay frozen for very long. Ruth Marcus, in a column in the WaPo, tells us that Senator Coburn was vilified by the right when he suggested, at a townhall meeting, that Nancy Pelosi was a "nice lady" and that Oklahomans weren't going to be "put in jail" if they didn't have health insurance.

Limbaugh jumped on him, Beck jumped on him, and his fellow Oklahoma senator said that "There's nothing nice about Nancy; she disagrees with everything that we believe."

So don't worry, the leaders of the Party of No will ensure that nobody speaks civilly about the opposition again.

I think Billo and his ilk may have a serious learning disabilty. They work for a television network, but don't seem to understand the concept of "recording".

"And what happens when you don't pay your taxes?"

The government unleashes a horde of zombies on your whole family.

All they need to know is the bottom line. Do you really think this Nth example of Faux News lying is going to hurt their ratings?
