ERV LIVE and IRL! HIV-1 and Vaccines!

I suck! Desiree Schelle has been trying to get me on Skeptically Speaking since, like, last December, and I keep getting busy and putting it off and then I was like "GHA I SUCK NAME A DATE!"

So Im going to be on her show this Sunday to talk about HIV-1!

We record live with Abbie Smith on Sunday, July 24 at 6 pm MT. The podcast will be available to download at 9 pm MT on Friday, July 29.

And theeeen, after some scheduling rearrangements, Im actually going to get to speak July 30th at the inaugural conference for Oklahoma skeptics and freethinkers, FreeOK! Its $10 for a day of speakers:

AND ABBIE! YAY!

Im going to be speaking on 'Evolution and Vaccines: Tomato, Tomahto'. If you understand one topic, you understand the other, but people arent as confident in their pro-vac position as they are their pro-evo position, I wanna change that.

Awesome!

Congratulations for being invited, and thanks for getting out there to share your knowledge, point of view, and ... inimitable style.

Have fun with it!

It's too late for me to schedule a live appearance in OK, but I'll definitely be looking forward to watching any videos that get made. Especially as I lie around furiously hitting that morphine pump after surgery!

I'm glad you've finally come to your senses and started doing what want you to do instead of what you want you to do. (Looks like they were right - you have turned into the spiderarchy's pawn!)

Seriously, I'm glad to know someone with her head screwed on straight will be in the public eye for a change.

Damn! I wish I could make it!

Have been following your blog for sometime now without commenting.... and am a member of ACT....looking forward to your talk...... see u saturday....

I'm happy to see you return to my city once again, and as a front line speaker, no less.

Good for you-- I've seen you speak, and watched your videos, and you have a good speaking style; informative, enthusiastic and interesting.

We need more scientists of your caliber speaking out against the dogma and anti-intellectualism of religion-- if only by speaking >positively< using real science.

A big thumb's up for you, Abbie. Am tickled that Peter Leone, a colleague and friend of mine, will follow. Should be an excellent show!

Aaaaaaaaand if you missed my interview with Desiree tonight, she will have it up this Friday, and I shall post a linky!

Have you seen the latest SMBC comic? It's right up your alley, I think.

Now that I am in Okc, you are running off to Tulsa. We would go but we are still trying to save money as we are trying to pay off all the moving debts.
