Don't crash this poll. Just visit for the aesthetic experience.

God Poll: This looks like a nice AJAX application that happens to ask some interesting questions. I'm showing it to you because of the technology, not because of the content. Not to encourage you to crash a poll or anything. Just because PZ does that.

The series of interviews with some of the participants of the 2008 Science Blogging Conference was quite popular, so I decided to do the same thing again this year, posting interviews with some of the people who attended ScienceOnline'09 back in January. Today, I asked one of my SciBlings, Greg…
Here's an interesting interview with Susan Jacoby on the subject of atheism. I don't agree with all of her points, but it's worth reading the whole thing. Here's an interesting excerpt: Certainly one of the first things I thought about as a maturing child was “Why is there polio? Why are there…
The Steinmetz Symposium is today at Union, as mentioned in yesterday's silly poll about fears (I love the fact that "Wavefunction Collapse" leads "Monsters from the Id" by one vote at the time of this writing-- my readers are awesome). As a more serious follow-up, there were two presentation…
As of this evening, I will be displaying the HONcode certification badge on the left sidebar of this blog. I was able to achieve this certification on my original wordpress blog, and then at denialism blog. The HONcode serves a specific, limited purpose, and some of you might be interested in…

It's a nice looking interface but something is funky on the back end. I cast my votes and returned an hour later and the total number of votes had decreased.

It's not ajax, that's flash.....

Will,
It may be that the poll creator is removing those votes that were placed by visitors referred by PZ's site (for instance). The referring site's url is part of the packet stream and could be saved for later reference to try and sanitize the results a bit.
The site could also be resetting the numbers periodically.

Strange
The poll has at the moment around 3830 votes plus or minus 30 which is possible due to the format used. Except for do humans have souls. Which stands at only 1400.

It's official now. That poll is crap. Just looked again and the numbers changed majorly from what I put up earlier
2 values at roughly 5k, 2 at roughly 3k, 1 at roughly 1.5k (Which isn't the do humans have souls)
