As I am sure you are aware, there are still three Senate elections that have yet to be resolved. The Democrats need all three of them to get to the magic sixty. On November 4 I would have considered that very unlikely indeed. But now I'm not so sure. The big one, from my perspective, is the…
Good Morning America! Well, after I went to bed last night, the Minnesota Senate Race between Al Franken and Norm Coleman tightened up. The Associated Press is reporting, I hear, that Coleman has won. They are wrong. The difference between the two candidates is now (at 6:30 AM) just over 1,000…
(I think that I'm done updating this post for now, as the results show no indication of changing significantly. I'll have more to say about the election tomorrow.) A Democratic majority in the Senate is all but certain, as Montana and Virginia both appear to have gone to the Democrats. This means…
The former Senator from Alaska was one of five killed in the crash of a small plane on which were nine people. Former NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe is among those who may or may not have. NPR is reporting this. Earlier in his career, Stevens was an AGW denialist, but later got on board and…

I have mixed emotions now. Awwww.... I'm happy for the USA but sad that I won't have Sarah Palin to bitch about on mah blag! ;-)

OT - Do you know if the votes from candidate #3 in MN. will go to Coleman or Franken?

Am I the only one who's sad we won't have a convicted felon as a senator?

OT - Do you know if the votes from candidate #3 in MN. will go to Coleman or Franken?

Neither. During the recount, any vote that is not for Franken or Coleman, including the third party candidate Barkley, any other random candidate, or no one at all, will go in one pile known as "other" and will not be part of the count.

Sorry, I didn't make myself more clear. What I meant was...

Are they going to have a "Run Off" if the difference is less than .5%??

Will the people that voted for the 3rd candidate in the Nov. 4th election, vote for Franken or Coleman in the run off? And when will that be?
