That was great! I love Bill Nye. I'm going to have to look up some of the educational shows he did for adults.
I'm with Bill on the perspective thing.
As a cloud geek it looks to me like an edge on view of a mammatus cloud.
Mammatus clouds are low in the sky, have dark and light areas that "glow", can have a "greenish tinge", and from underneath the "raggedness" and "waves" look like rows of boobies hanging in the sky (thus the name).
They are not associated with violent storms but they do have an "apocalyptic" feel about them.
