A quick note on moderation

A slew of bad spam has been showing up (most of which you've not seen because I've been busy deleting it) but I've cranked the moderation sensitivity up.

If your comment gets held in moderation, that is likely the reason. I'm sure things will settled down soon.

A bit of blog housekeeping here... Normally, I find out about new comments on my blog through e-mail notifications that get sent to me shortly after you, the reader and commenter, post your comments. I find it much easier simply to scroll through the e-mails and see what the reaction is to my posts…

Is notification of others' comments on a post every coming to this theatre?

What NewEnglandBob said. Also maybe send emails to confirm when a comment has gotten through moderation so if we don't need to check back frequently to see if a comment got through or not?

I don't know what kind of spam you've been getting, but if it's anything like the stuff I've been getting(also eliminated before it gets up, for the most part), I don't blame you for moderating some people. On my own blog, I had to institute comment moderation for exactly that reason.
