Yes, I admire him for writing an excellent post under pressure. Maybe the Trophy wife was packing the bags. I hope he will do fine and guess the odds are in his favor. Maybe we should send him some acupuncture needles for a joke, except he might end up stabbing the hospital chaplain with them.
Let's hope the hospital doesn't do to him what it did to me: Put him down as Lutheran without asking.
Well, hopefully only temporarily. Success rates are incredible compared to 50 years ago, but it's still a far cry from getting a dose of antibiotics for a bacterial throat infection.
@sailor: I doubt they'll be giving PZ hallucinogenic drugs, so I think the hospital chaplain will be safe. Besides, it's usually at least 2 weeks before someone with their chest cut open is in any shape to go chasing people with needles and even then they need some serious doses of painkillers.
Traveling all over the place and grabbing odd bits of sleep in hotels and aeroplanes isn't good for anybody. I hope he looks after himself more from now on.

Reports of him having a deadly ailment are grossly overstated however, it's a routine procedure folks.
It is fairly routine. I think he's going under the knife any moment now. Then we get to see him blog stoned for a while.
