Man, I hope this works out, might be the last chance for a while. And passing it as a stand-alone bill would be even sweeter than as an amendment to a defense-spending bill. Obama has been calling senators in support of this - but, who knows, it might still work out. *cough* And we would owe it to Joe Lieberman, of all people...if he manages to pull this one of, I'll take back 33 % of all of the bad things I've said about him in the past.
