Challenging Harry Potter Quiz

Do you remember how, at some point in the recent past, I wished that the Harry Potter online quizzes were more challenging? Well, someone heard me. Because this Harry Potter quiz relies on questions written by readers, it nicely confirms my working hypothesis that the most difficult quiz/exam that could ever be written is the one composed by the students themselves. [flash required]

Since I spent most of last night watching Harry Potter DVDs, I thought this quiz would be easy. Oh, how wrong I was. Besides the fact that the questions are written by a bunch of 12 year old HP fanatics, these questions are based on both the books and the movies, which don't necessarily agree -- but of course, you don't know if the questions refer to the book or the movie -- and these questions are very detailed.

So you have to tell me your score because I took the quiz once and my score was ...

6, 13 19 correct. (I took the quiz again)

How embarassing, huh? I was already considering mailing my PhD back to my alma mater so they could give it to someone more deserving, but my poor showing in this quiz will likely cause me to lose my PhD in Harry Potter Literature, too. GAH! I am so ashamed.

I like Harry Potter, but that was disgustingly detailed. I'd like to tell the students they're missing the forest for the trees. As a side note, I had a developmental teacher when I was taking general biology (cell/molec), and her tests were at about the same level of specifity, but there was no multiple choice. I got weird flashbacks while taking this one.

Anyway, my high score was just 6. The hardest part is that you lose one chance per wrong *answer*, not per wrong *question*.

I have read all the books. I guess I was supposed to have read them several times each, including recently, and paying attention to trivial details. I tried a million times. My highest score is a pitiful 7. My usual score is 4.

I've read all the books (at least once) and seen all the movies...but none recently. And I topped out at 5 playing 4 times. The first time I got zero. So I am really impressed by 19.
