How Much of You Does Your Blog Own?

62.5 %

My weblog owns 62.5 % of me.

Does your weblog own you?

I am especially curious to know what my blog siblings scored on this quiz. I think my results are skewed since I am unhappily unemployed, which means that I have no meaningful life whatsoever, outside of my blog, that is. And depending upon whom you speak to about the relative value of blogs, even that assertion is suspect.

So one of my blog siblings and fellow evil genius, Janet, poses a simple question; what are you going to do with your idiocy/genius? She then proposed this test as a means of quantifying this. Considering that I am unemployable, and therefore, doing nothing worthwhile whatsoever with my energy,…
[Note: the previous quiz screwed up the formatting for my entire blog, so I substituted this quiz in its place. Please accept my apologies for messing up this entry. Also keep in mind that my readers are not crazy; they were responding with their results to the original quiz] Arr, as a parrot-lovin…
I displayed this quiz result on my original blog for quite a long time, until I decided it was having a negative impact on my social life, whereupon, I removed it. However, because I no longer have a social life, not any sort of life whatsoever, I realize it probably wouldn't hurt to put this quiz…

I got 18.5% (obvious how the breakdown's calculated) which is amusing given that I blog something every day. But since I am online all day long because of my profession perhaps that's why the blog is relatively low...there's MANY online things I waste my time on (sigh).

BEG (work? what's that?)

i succumbed to adult onset blogging much more quickly than you (well, it actually took me about one year), although you DO have a decent job, so i suspect that helps you to maintain your equilibrium.

wow, i would have predicted something closer to 100% for you, too. what happened?

A lot of questions are "iffy" or have two parts. Do I have multiple blogs? Yes. Do I post every day on each one of them? No - I do it on Sci & Pol, but I can lapse as long as a week on Circadiana and Magic School Bus. So, what is the real sense of that question? I thought that "having multiple blogs on which I post more or less regularly" is sufficient to warrant a 'Yes', although technically not correct. All of the questions have similar problems - I gained or lost points on technicalities.

0%, damn may be I have a life after all.

I'm at 43.75% My husband might complain that this was true. I wonder how much the kids, my paying job, my volunteer work, the garden and the chickens get? (We're not even considering the housework.)

I'm guessing that the parts of our lives add up to way more than 100%.

12.5% for me. that seems kind of low, but i do have lapses in my posts sometimes. i go through periods where i post daily (sometimes multiple posts in a day), then i could go for as long as a week without posting. i also have a couple of blogs, but i don't update them daily.

It's a good idea, and a neat joke. Unfortunately, it calls up a community which can directly compare the quality of the test with their own reality - that is, it measures something substantive for people who understand what is being measured.

Hard ask to get a meaningful test in that environment. Or a good challenge for some serious student of tests.

Now, if we were polling on which cockroach we are, it would be taken a lot more lightly. Someone should do that.

In response to sudden light, you are more likely to a) run towards the food, b) push your flat little body into a crack c) dump half a million babies and run for the back door d) wave your antenna and threaten the mammal with 32 different ugly bacterial infections.

zero percent.

hahaha! I have a blog..... but apparently i'm not owned by it. haha
