What is it about girl scout cookies that can transform an otherwise mundane day into something extraordinary? Is it their seasonal character, like bird migration .. the fact that, like unusual bird sightings, I cannot have them anytime I want them? But what makes them so perfect in every way? For those who care, I had a samoa, several tagalongs -- only because everyone else ate most of them before I got there -- and a bunch of little brownies, and I am still thinking about them, just as I think about the birds I see after I have been out birding.

Family Guy, S07E02 'I Dream of Jesus':
Peter: Brian, can I see that paper for a sec?
(Brian gives Peter the paper. Peter peruses the paper.)
Peter: Huh... that's odd... I thought that would big news.
I love the Tagalongs too, but I think the Samoas are kind of gross. My other favorites are Thin Mints and Do-Si-Dos. I like the fact that I'm virtually the only one who enjoys Do-Si-Dos. But I think it's unfair that you get more thin mints than the others when you buy a box, yet they're all the same price. Smacks of thin mint-ism to me!
Forgive my ignorance, but what are Tagalongs, Samoas and Do-Si-Dos?
I'm guessing some type of biscuit/crumpet.
Tagalongs, Samoas, and Do-Si-Dos are varieties in a famous line of biscuits called "Girl Scout Cookies", manufactured exclusively for the Girl Scouts of America, and sold by them door-to-door in annual fund-raising drives.
