This is an amazing video that would work incredibly well in a biology classroom -- it shows the life cycle of an individual cell. It is accompanied by some fabulous music, too! . tags: streaming video, cell biology

wow, thats amazing...but is all of it real???

especially that blue roundish thing sort of walking around, like. don't think i am stupid, but i am just not an expert in microbiology!!! ;)

however, i am an expert in Astronomy, and you can check out my science blog at http://science-core.jaywebdesigns.com/

i write articles on everyday Technology, as well as Science(mainly Astronomy).

can we exchange links??? if so, you can just leave a comment at my blog, and i'll link to you. then you can also link to me!!!

Thanks

It almost (almost!) make me want to take up biochemistry again. It was always frustrating for me that I couldn't visualise what was going on in the cell. I mean, I'm sure the ribosome is more than two ovals with a use sticking out of the top.

Srikanth: what you see in that is "real" in the sense that they are all good-faith efforts to CGI-render visualisations of cellular processes which really happen. You can get the video without the cool music and with the explanation of what's going on at:

(which, to be honest, makes it much less mind-blowing.)
