You Are Very Skeptical

Your personal motto is: "Prove it."
While some ideas, like life after death, may seem nice...
You aren't going to believe them simply because it feels good.
You let science and facts be your guide... Even if it means you don't share the beliefs of those around you.

Who wants to know how to be an effective crank? Well, I've outlined what I think are the critical components of successful crankiness. Ideally, this will serve as a guide to those of you who want to come up with a stupid idea, and then defend it against all evidence to the contrary. Here's how…
Let's ruin a perfectly pleasant Friday with a poll full of ugly reality. The poll of 2,455 U.S. adults from Nov 7 to 13 found that 82 percent of those surveyed believed in God, a figure unchanged since the question was asked in 2005. It further found that 79 percent believed in miracles, 75 percent…
Tap, tap. Can you hear me? You sure? I heard that International Authorities were going to disappear me. If you hadn't heard that, you missed one of the most hilarious comment threads ever. After we made light of a pointless poll about the afterlife, various fans of that site were so horrified that…
Once again, I have proven my ability to drive people into a frothing rage against me. Only this time it isn't a mob of religious fanatics and anti-choicers who have called me pond scum who will go to hell, an insect souled vile man, a black-souled amoral monster, pure evil, morally depraved, with a…

The quiz could have been called "Are You An Idiot?". To qualify as a fully fledged idiot, you'd need only give a single woo answer to any of the questions.

Very Skeptical.

No real suprise :o)

Being very skeptical, I decided to do a simple test of the claim that any woo answer causes a rating of complete idiot: Starting with a baseline of no woo, I tried giving a single woo answer (multiple times, each time to a different question selected at random, always selecting the most woo-ish answer). One woo answer is insufficient to change the rating; I'm still "very skeptical".

Two woo answers managed to change it to "fairly skeptical". I didn't bother continuing...

IMO, it would be a lot more amusing if any woo-ish answer really did cause a "complete idiot" rating. Complete with sirens sounding, fireworks exploding, and so on so that everyone else in vicinity knows. ;-)
