Very pretty! One of the nicest things about visiting California is that sometimes we see the little sanderlings or perhaps least sandpipers running up and down the beach to pursue and then flee the waves.
These are the most fun birds to watch! For their small size, they seem to run faster than they can handle it, and keep moving around. This is a great picture, it is not easy to catch them at so close distance.
