The photographer writes;
Dolphins are known to jump out the back of big waves as they break against the shores. This pod of bottlenose dolphins was leisurely surfing in the waves as the offshore wind blew against the incoming waves, creating an atmosphere that was most unique and magical. At a place called Waterfall Bluff in the Transkei, South Africa.

Wow. It looks like a painting, not a picture.
Too bad there isn't a higher res version for a desktop background.
@Coriolis: yes, you can download a higher res version for a desktop wallpaper.

Go to the pulldown menu and click on "October-- Week 1" and Andrew Wong's cavorting dolphins is the first image in the gallery.
That is a truly awesome (in the original meaning of the word) photo. Beautiful.
Great picture. Usually every year I get a calendar of dolphin paintings by an artist who lives in Hawaii (can't think of his name), this picture is a nice as any of his paintings. When I get home this will be my new wall paper. My current one is my wife, son and I with a dolphin kissing my wife taken when we were in the Bahamas two years ago at Swimming with the Dolphins.
Thank you Marilyn.
Looks great, hopefully they'll put up 1600x1200 later on ;).
