Interdepartmental Memo

Since I am unemployed, I get these notices second-hand, but I am more than happy to share them with those of you who still manage to keep a job that actually pays money.

Dear Employees:

It has been brought to management's attention that some individuals throughout the company have been using foul language during the course of normal conversation with their co-workers.

Due to complaints received from some employees who may be easily offended, this type of language will no longer be tolerated.

We do, however, realize the critical importance of being able to accurately express your feelings when communicating with co-workers.

Therefore, a list of 18 New and Innovative 'TRY SAYING' phrases have been provided so that proper exchange of ideas and information can continue in an effective manner.

This was sent to me by a friend so I rewrote it a little and posted it here because I thought it might be useful to my blog sibling, Afarensis, in particular; Anyone who has been job-hunting will probably agree that the interpretations for these bullet items (written in bold) that you typically…
For a lot of us, summer means sitting in air-conditioned offices and complaining to our co-workers about how hot it is outside. For farmworkers, summers mean hours of toil under a hot sun, in conditions that can be fatal. Working in the heat doesnât have to mean death, as long as workers can rest…
A few weeks ago, I wrote about a woman I met in the intensive care unit after she was successfully resuscitated with ACLS. Serendipitously, she ended up on the medicine service I switched to shortly thereafter, and I've been taking care of her on the general medicine floors for a few weeks. Today,…

This reminds me of the South Park movie:

Instead of ass say buns, like "Kiss my buns" or "You're a buns-hole".

Oops, that bold tag isn't going to be closed for a while.

I would imagine the reply would be something like this:

We're sorry, but we feel that in your attempts to make the job a lovely challenge, you lack sensitivity. You are clearly not familiar with the issues, and if you wish us to care care of this, then you could use more training, and so perhaps you should check with HR.

Have a nice day.
