Looks like a pretty nice dinghy to be abandoned. You sure there wasn't a painter tying it to the bank?

Looks just like mine did when I went in for a picnic. Or a whiz. Spent many happy years on the Thames with a little boat like this. You'd have to watch it for a couple of days before deciding it was abandoned.

this little red boat, which was quite handsome, looked abandoned because it was drifting in the river, and wasn't tied up. but yeah, it might have been trying to escape the bounds of captivity.
