My all-time favorite song; thank you for posting this. Although often attributed to Sarah Maclachlan, this actually first appeared (AFAIK) on Delerium's Karma CD in '97, with Sarah Maclachlan as a guest vocalist.

Delerium never had a vocalist as an 'official' member of their group, but a number of excellent guest vocalists worked with them over the years. Complete list here:

MacLachlan wrote the lyrics (according to separate interviews I've seen online with both her and Delerium's Bill Leeb).
